Southeast Asia, South Asia, and China By Tom King Temasek Trust, the philanthropic arm of Singapore’s Temasek Holdings has created a new private equity platform called ABC World Asia.
ABC World Asia will build its base in Singapore and focus on impact investing. Its target investments include financial and digital inclusion, better health and education, climate and water solutions, sustainable food and agriculture, and smart and livable cities.
The platform will be focusing its impact investing efforts throughout Southeast Asia, South Asia, and China.
Cheo Hock Kuan, CEO of Temasek Trust, explains that the new private equity platform will play an active role that's beyond their grantmaking efforts. ABC World Asia will help "bridge the financing gap" in support of sustainable philanthropy.
