fi-compass has announced the upcoming 'Thematic workshop on Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship' to be held on 10 September 2019, in Lisbon, Portugal.
The fi-compass is organised by the European Commission, Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion (DG EMPL), and the European Investment Bank (EIB).
The Portuguese Social Innovation (PSI) Initiative case study will be discussed during the workshop to shed light on innovative ESF financing instruments that are being implemented during the 2014-2020 programming period in Portugal.
The workshop aims to provide the participants to learn how to implement financial instruments to support social innovation and social entrepreneurship, like Social Impact Funds and Social Impact Bonds; allow participants to share their experiences in implementing financial isntruments; and enable participants to exchange ideas with the speakers and other participants on ways to deal with technical challenges.
This thematic workshop is designed especially for ESF managing authorities and other stakeholders from all EU Member States in support of social innovation and social entrepreneurship.
