Lightrock is a London-based investment platform that tries to make a positive impact on the world through investments, and the company just announced its first climate impact fund.
The Climate Impact Fund, which was oversubscribed by more than 900 million pounds, will invest in tech companies developing solutions to climate change, as well as food, agriculture, and transportation issues, Bloomberg reports.
"This is Lightrock's third successful fund close in little over a year and it represents a resounding endorsement of our mission to scale impact investing," CEO Erik Sjatil says in a press release.
Lightrock has already invested in two impact companies, Mainspring Energy and Kebony.
