For the fifth year in a row, WaterEquity has been named as one of the top 50 impact investment managers in the world, a distinction it has earned thanks to its focus on solving the world's water and sanitation problems, Bloomberg reports.
"Our sole purpose has always been to build a sustainable, global capital market for safe water and sanitation that will directly reach the 2 billion+ people in need," WaterEquity's President Paul O'Connell says in a press release.
The firm, which has raised more than $350 million since it was founded in 2016, has invested in projects that provide safe water and sanitation in 16 countries, including sub-Saharan Africa, where more than a third of the population doesn't have access to safe water or sanitation.
