Svx Launches Major Update to Impact Investing Opportunity Database

"All investments are impact investments," says Adam Spence, CEO of SVX, a non-profit financial services firm that has just launched Canada's first index designed to measure the impact of investments made in areas such as health, education, and climate change.

The SVX Impact Index, which launched on April 16, aims to connect investors with projects that are making a "meaningful change" in their communities, the Globe and Mail reports.

According to the index, there are more impact investment products on the market than there are projects that actually make a difference, the CBC reports.

"There is a significant demand for access to impact investing products and there is a greater supply than most investors are familiar with," says a Suncor Energy Foundation editorial fellowship.

"SVX Impact Index aims to correct this asymmetry."

SVX works with investors, funds, foundations, and other institutions to ensure that "one day, 'all investments are impact investments,'" Spence says.
