Those are the words of Paul Hogan, VP and COO of EHA Clinics, after the company received a $25,000 grant from the USA Family Donor-Advised Fund to build a new primary health care hub in Nigeria's Kano State, per a press release.
The REACH ( Reaching Everyone With Accessible Community Health) program runs six health posts, community pharmacies, home care, telemedicine, and pharmacy services in the Gyadi-Gyadi area, as well as delivers care to 20,000 families by 2024, says Evelyn Castle, CEO and co-founder of eha Impact Ventures, the investment company that provided the funding.
The press release notes REACH has served more than 7,000 families since 2019, and "with their assistance, we secured a central location for our clinic with access to public transportation and a well-developed road network, making services accessible to residents."
